Closing Words & Ravi - Prayer (Song)
Closing Thoughts, Opening Ceremony
As this is a programme about creativity, storytelling and the art of the imagination, we felt it was important to share the perspective of our whole-world view with you through the activities and the speakers.
We have attempted to start from a place of wholeness, placing the sacredness and interconnectedness of all life at the very centre of everything we do.
At School of Sophia we believe that we have forgotten what it means to be fully human. This programme is a pebble in a pond to serve as a reminder of the interconnected web of being of all of life. We believe, just like Nelson Mandela once powerfully shared,
"Education is the most powerful weapon in the world." Nelson Mandela
Orienting from a place of wholeness, connection and flourishing what would it look like in our schools and education systems globally if we respected and hounoured our relationships with each other, the land of which we're a part and all of life on our precious planet?
- But what are your views?
- What do you think the purpose of education is really about?
- Please do share your thoughts in the comments below.
- What did you think of the Opening Ceremony?
We'd love to hear your reflections.
Looking forward to continuing the journey with you all on Day 1.
