Inner Work, Outer Strength - With Lisa Romero
How an inner path can directly support resilience & wellbeing in our children today
"Thank you for the work that you are doing. I am so grateful to have found you.I left the meeting today with a beautiful image of the children receiving nourishment through our meditative life and work. But it wasn't until later when I was working and felt tension spread all through my neck and back, tension in response to someone I love, that I remembered the peace exercise we did this afternoon. If I had not just practiced the peace exercise, I would have met this person in that place of tension but, I did not. I spread the peace all around me and all is well."

"Listening to Lisa talk about the path of inner development is truly encouraging. That is, listening to Lisa gives me courage. The warmth of her patience and her pace of sharing helpful
ideas gives me reassurance that whatever step I am on along a path of development is worthy of attention and support. I feel inspired to grow
beyond my current capacities. Hearing Lisa's words in her own voice, as well as reading her written work, tell me that she is speaking from
experience. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to learn from someone who has walked the meditative path and is able to shine a light on the
terrain it traverses. Thanks, Priya, for your work in organizing today's session."

"The thing about listening to Lisa Romero is that even if you've heard or read what she's said before, (maybe even from her directly, or in one of her many books), there is a way in which she speaks, that feels to carry more than just the words themselves.
Listening to Lisa has the feeling of receiving a transmission that goes beyond the words - her natural warmth and humility share insights as a conscious invitation to explore those places in each of us that already resonate and know the deep truths of which she speaks. Lisa's words land in me in a way that helps cultivate the seeds already planted there, supporting them to grow.
It's a really profound experience. It makes me reflect that perhaps the true path of a teacher, like from the Latin root of education, "educare" is indeed to draw out and inspire what is already living within.
I'm so grateful to be a part of these extraordinary conversations. I love that feeling of learning and growing, just through a process of active listening. I'm so looking forward to the next session."
